Tutti Il Colori Del Buio repress now available

Ilsa's Tutti Il Colori Del Buio LP is once again available for mailorder. This repress is the same rotten slab of vile, crusty filth. Hailing from Washington, DC, ILSA deliver 9 tracks, clocking in at 40 minutes, of blown out, severely down-tuned, crust-injected death-doom. The album has been remastered for vinyl by James Plotkin for total abyssic heaviness. Despite our mild disdain for band comparisons, parallels can be drawn to early Bolt Thrower, Paradise Lost, Axegrinder, later Anti-Cimex(think Scandinavian Jawbreaker era), Autopsy, and Winter. Disgusting horror reigns.

This repress of the debut Ilsa LP is limited to 500 copies on 160g black vinyl, housed inside quality reverse board gatefold jackets, not Stoughtons like the first press. The band will also have a substantial amount of copies on their southwest dates en route to Rites of Darkness III this December.

"Carnal Law" is the initial physical manifestation from California's Vastum. While recalling Finnish and Mexican death metal cults of old there is something contained within that is far more perverse and sinister. The barbaric song structures, doom ridden harmonies, sinister lead work, deranged psycho-sexual lyrical content, and disgusting vocal delivery all create a work far stronger and and more captivating than most current "new old school death metal" bands floating about these days have to offer.

VASTUM - Carnal Law LP news

The Vastum test press has been approved. Layout is nearing completion as we speak. 150g vinyl, chipboard jackets, gatefold insert. For those of you unfamiliar with the savagery that is Vastum, please explore HERE. Truly evil, melodic yet sinister, doomed metal of death.

We expected to have everything back the first week of September. Jackets have arrived already and look splendid!

UPDATE Re: Hooded Menace/Ilsa Splits

Hooded Menace/Ilsa 12" EPs will be at the CR bunker by the end of the week. They will be available for mailorder starting Monday the 16th Wednesday the 18th. All European distros listed previously have their copies now although we hear reports of them quickly selling out.

Artwork for the upcoming Ilsa shirts and longsleeves we are getting printed in the coming weeks. Both the regular t's and longsleeves will have the knife/cross artwork from the back of the LP jacket on the back of the shirt, and the longsleeves will have the knife/cross printed on the sleeves as well.

Prices will be decided later on.

Hooded Menace/ILSA Split 12" EP.

Behold the artwork for the forthcoming split 12" EP. Once again crafted by Ilsa drummer Joshua Brettell. No release date is set but the record will definitely be available for the East Coast shows Ilsa and Hooded Menace are playing together after Maryland Death Fest. Recordings are almost complete and the mastering will be handled by Dan Lowndes at Resonance Sound. 500 copies.

We have just received the final vinyl master of the Stone Wings album from Dan Lowndes at Resonance Sound. The overall sound is much crisper without sacrificing any of the heaviness or majestic atmosphere. We now have the photos of the original artwork and should be able to begin work on the layout at the beginning of next week. No release date is set as of yet. Samples are available HERE.

It is our pleasure to announce that we will be collaborating on release of the LP version of Vastum's "Carnal Law" album with Deific Mourning. Sharing a good portion of the personnel from Acephalix and a Saros member, but not sounding particularly similar to either, their particular brand of dark, doomy, deranged death metal is downright confrontational and ugly, yet still quite melodic. Samples are available HERE.

ILSA LPs have arrived.

The ILSA "Tutti Il Colori Del Buio" LPs have been delivered to us. The heavy sleeves have most certainly exceeded our expectations and look truly excellent. The record sounds as it should, an absolutely devastating slab of crusty, rotten death-doom. Mail-order will be up and running by early next week, if not the end of this week. After sending out band copies, and trade and wholesale orders, we will have slightly less that a hundred copies available for sale. Here are some photos in the meantime:

The LPs will be $18 plus shipping, and will also be available at the upcoming Seattle and Portland Anhedonist shows. Ilsa, of course, will have copies as well. We are no longer accepting any more new trade offers or wholesale orders for this release, with the exception of restocks for labels and distributors we are already in working with. Ilsa LP update/Upcoming Releases

The Ilsa LP will arrive back at Pirates Press on December 27th. So we should have it in our hands a couple days after that. We are in the process of getting a cart checkout system for the site, so that should be ready within the coming weeks, until then there will be info posted for ordering via email. We are hoping for a January First release, barring any unforeseen delays. A list of international distributors who will have copies will be up shortly.

Next will be the rerelease of the Stone Wings "Bird of Stone Wings" album on double LP. Majestic, melodic, sorrowful death doom from Australia, known from their split EP with the mighty Mournful Congregation. The album will be remastered for vinyl by Dan Lowndes at Resonance Sound. Layout will begin once all the source materials are at hand.
Following that will be a split EP between Ilsa and another band, who will remain unnamed at this time.

ILSA - Tutti il Colori del Buio LP release imminent.

The artwork and vinyl master have been sent off to Pirate's Press. The first press will be 300 copies on black 160g vinyl, all housed inside case wrapped, reverse board gatefold jackets.
